Paddy Murphy's is not your average pub, in fact there are those who would ever argue that it comes close to being an establishment! The secret according to owner, Clonakilty man Dan O'Donovan, is atmosphere, as he knowlingly says: "people can buy beer anywhere, but they can't buy atmosphere". So how do you always guarantee something as intangible as atmosphere? "If I have to sing myself there will be live music here seven nights a week". But Dan's musical talents are only 'Plan B'. The line-up is varied, with quality always guaranteed.

Naturally, the distinctive & special atmosphere is well supported by the characters found on both sides of the counter. Those behind the bar are not only well able to pull perfect pints, but lurking among them are DJ's, champion Irish dancers, artists. Therefore don't be suprised when you find a nifty design on top of your creamy stout.
